Bio
Dr. Lauren Brown is an Assistant Professor at San Diego State University School of Public Health. Her research aims to characterize not only the unique challenges Black & Brown people face in reaching older adulthood, making health injustices & scientific racism visible via data & storytelling. But also examines & fosters methods that embolden the positive outcomes & protective resources gained from adverse experiences, celebrating the highest potentiality of the human spirit. Her work provides a novel way to understand the aging experience by grounding stress & health measurement in the Black & Brown experience.
